The Fun Story of the Frappe's Invention.

This time we will go to Greece on the shores of the Aegean Sea to Thessaloniki City, where the annual international Thessaloniki International Fair takes place.
It was 1956.
Dimitris Vakondios, a Nestle employee, was scheduled to showcase their new product at the fair.
He was so thrilled about this opportunity that he left home in a hurry that morning, forgetting his lunch box and a thermos filled with hot coffee on the kitchen table.
"Come on," he thought, "I'll get something to eat right at the fair!"
During that year, Nestle launched a new product, which Dimitris introduced.
It was a chocolate beverage for kids that could be quickly prepared in a shaker.
In the middle of the day, Dimitris went on a break, and all he wanted was a cup of hot coffee with sugar.
He desperately needed a recharge.
After an exhausting run around the fair, he realized no hot water was available.
Not even a cup of hot water.
Surprisingly, but happens.
Dimitris' break came to a sudden end when he had an idea, "I can mix my instant coffee with cold water! It's still better than nothing at all!"
In a rush, he returned to the Nestle pavilion and grabbed a shaker.
Dimitris added two spoons of Nescafé Classic, sugar, cold water, and ice cubes and shook it to make a drink.
To his surprise, the drink was incredibly delicious. It tasted like fluffy heavenly clouds instead of just instant coffee with cold water and ice.
Here Greek Frappe was born and immediately won the love of all of Greece and the world for its ability to keep the taste and quality in the heat longer than other drinks.
Now you will not find a single cafe in Greece where buying a frappe wouldn't be possible, and the Nestle company supplies its Nescafé Frappe to many European countries, the USA, and Australia.
But what would be if Dimitris found hot water that day at the fair? :)
