Fresh 2023 information regarding Gallery 30 South and their upcoming coaster art show is now available.

They have recently moved to Las Vegas, NV, although the new location has yet to be announced. However, they have confirmed they will hold their 10th Annual Coaster Show in Las Vegas in September 2023.

This year, the 10th Annual Coaster Show will have a new format.

Unlike previous years, where the show was a juried exhibition, the gallery will accept submissions from all artists.

This is an excellent opportunity for emerging artists to showcase their artwork to a broader audience.

Besides the show, the gallery has also planned special events and activities to coincide with the Coaster Show. These events include artist talks, workshops, and a meet-and-greet with the artists.

I am thrilled to see the new and innovative coaster art featured at the 10th Annual Coaster Show in Las Vegas!

HUNDREDS OF PIECES IN EXHIBIT THAT HIGHLIGHTS DIVERSITY & THE DISABLED

GALLERY 30 SOUTH – PASADENA, CALIFORNIA

EXHIBITION OPEN SEPTEMBER 3 – 24, 2021

PASADENA, CALIFORNIA – AUGUST 15, 2021

Gallery 30 South, the internationally renown gallery for ground-breaking art from emerging and established

contemporary artists and celebrities announces the return of the “The Original Coaster

Show.” Nine years ago, “The Coaster Show” became world famous for the sheer scope

of unique pieces of art by extraordinary artists, many who saw their careers explode

from the original show.

Combining the quirky, the vibrant and the storytelling aspects of

art, Gallery 30 South has set up an exhibit of hundreds of artful coasters displayed in a

storyboard fashion along the walls of the influential gallery.

Beer coasters (like those

you can find at your local bar or restaurant) have been transformed from a disposable,

functionary object into a canvas for one-of-a-kind pieces of art.

The show, founded by Gallery 30 South owner Matt Kennedy in 2013, features some of

the most exciting, young artists of our time.

The annual event gathers up to a thousand unique pieces of artwork by hundreds of individual artists, many who are now making their gallery debut. By placing their work alphabetically and side-by-side with

established artists the presentation gives guests the unique perspective that each piece

depicts. Guests can spend hours discovering the beauty of each petite piece. The

exhibit also gives anyone the opportunity to become an avid art collector given the

reasonable pricing on each piece while not compromising taste, integrity or lifestyle.

“The Original Coaster” show at Gallery 30 South received thousands of submissions

every year, but the jury accepted fewer this year than in any prior exhibition, making this

the most exclusive collection showcased thus far.

In addition, the annual show includes a significant number of works that highlight

diversity as well as exceptional works created by artists with disabilities.

From autism to limited mobility, these amazing artists have overcome physical and developmental

challenges to create a collection of soulful and inspiring works of art.

Subjects include cultural heritage, environmental activism, gender and orientation equality, mental health

awareness, and even the occasional political cartoon.

“It’s a lot of work to pull together, but this is my favorite show to curate each year,” says

director Matt Kennedy.

Taken as a whole, the exhibition is a single installation comprised of work by hundreds

of individuals in random collaboration. And with entry level pricing, anyone can acquire

one piece or full artist sets quite affordably and become a true patron of the arts.

The gallery walls are covered with these tiny, extraordinary and invariably unique art pieces,

so you can walk the show a hundred times and still see something new each time.

At its core, this show is the transformation of a lowbrow concept into an egalitarian ideal, which is that art really is everywhere.

Twocatsandpossum

Hiya, my name is Twocatsandpossum. I'm a New Orleans-based artist passionate about food, smiles, and creating stories about it all. You also could know me as a Silly Butts creator and author of The First Silly Butts Coloring Book. I've been working from home as an artist for the past four years, and it's been a great experience.
